Konjac Sponge - Rose for Mature & Delicate Skin

These gentle, cleansing sponges are nature’s answer to a light, exfoliating face scrub!  They are 100% natural and are made from the Konjac vegetable plant root. Konjac is naturally alkaline, which helps to balance the skin’s pH levels, whilst gently cleansing and massaging the skin.

Rose:  For delicate and mature skin. Gently exfoliates without drawing moisture from the skin. Rose Powder tones, detoxifies and adds vitality to the skin.

To use: Soak the sponge in warm water prior to each use. The water will soften the sponge’s fibres, which will gently exfoliate your skin, while the infused green tea powder cleanses and protects. Use on its own or with a small amount of your favourite cleanser.

Product Care:  Rinse thoroughly with warm water after each use.  Squeeze excess water out of sponge and hang to dry in well ventilated area.  Pop your konjac sponge into your FOGO bin or compost after 1 – 3 months (depending on frequency of use)

What is Konjac?

Amorphophallus konjac (aka Konjac) is a perennial herb that grows in subtropical and tropical zones such as Japan, China and Korea. Konjac plants contain Konjac glucomannan (KGM), which has numerous health benefits, and is often used in weight loss supplements. Glucomannan is also used to thicken and add texture to foods. In skin care, it helps to inhibit the growth of acne-causing bacteria, has antioxidant properties and balances the skin's pH levels, improving the appearance of your skin.

How does it work?

Konjac sponges are made from the fibrous root of the Konjac vegetable and are a sustainable resource, eco-friendly and completely biodegradable!  The plant material has a fine exfoliating texture, making it perfect for removing impurities from your skin and enhancing your complexion. The sponges can absorb natural skin care ingredients such as charcoal, clays and herbal powders. These ingredients supercharge the sponges with drawing and detoxifying properties. Note: The sponges are quite firm when dry, so it's important to soak them before use!
