Organic Horse and Pet Care

Organic Horse and Pet Care

At Nashama Equine and Wellness, we take our pet products seriously. Our horses, dogs are cats are friends, companions and workmates, and anything we make to use on them is usually organic and undergoes vigorous research then real world testing before we sell it. Most of our products are actually old family farmhouse recipes, handed down to us as teenagers to care for our dogs and horses. We don't produce a lot, but what we do produce is what we use at home.

What do we produce?

1. Nashama Equine Thrush and Abscess. This farrier's formulation is our own in house formula, which is based in a recipe that is from our childhood. After feedback from our farriery clients that many formulations were not great to use or effective, our soapmaker, who is not often seen by the hoof clients but is extensively qualified in equine health, formulated our organic hoof formulation. This is the little brown jar Nashama Equine's Hoof and Body Care professionals uses on client horses. It is specifically formulated to wad into a swab then pack into holes, or smear on the frog. It is one of the most versatile and value for money organic hoof care formulations on the market, and so much better for your horse!

2 Indi's Formulation Dog & Horse Shampoo. This product is a certified organic soap base, with certified essential oils and organic aloe vera. While our Tibetan Spaniel, Indi, left this life in 2021, she lives on in this formulation, specifically designed for her sensitive skin. Another custom formulation, it is usually the formulation chosen by our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Jake and Mercedes.

3. Jake's Formulation Anti Bacterial & Insecticidal Pet Shampoo. This one we refrained from using essential oils, so it can be used on cats as well as dogs and horses. With Jake the Cavalier's paw-print of approval, this one has proven and organic winner for our dogs.

4. Jake's Pet Pee Spray. After a mountain of frustration with Jake just not getting it that he needs to ask to go outside, and if he can't get out, use his tray, and everything we bought not working, a tonne of research was done by our soap maker (did you know she is both an engineer and a scientist, as well as a highly qualified animal health practitioner?). She came up with this formulation, which carried Jake's paw print of approval. The product is an odour eliminator as well as scented with an 100$ natural fragrance oil in a citrus scent. Please do not spray this on your pets, but we spray this where Jake may track floofy paw prints off his tray and on his tray, as well as to remove general doggy odours.

5. As we decided not to make bath bombs or bath salts, we purchase that in from a like minded-supplier, we have our remaining stock of food grade natural Epsom Salts. Epsom Salts creates an ionic solution which draws and cleans and is a staple of farrier's tool kits world-wide for hoof soaks.

Our soap maker has a few exciting products in development and testing, so watch this space for our Nashama Equine and Wellness animals to put their hoof and paw prints on!
