06-2025 Nashama Equine & Wellness Farm Shop Newsletter
As June 2025 ends, I am still busy undertaking Qigong courses. Winter Solstice was on the 20th June so the wheel turns, and the days get longer. The end is a way off, though, for those -8 mornings where we crack the ice on the water troughs. Today it is supposed to snow to 800m, and we are at 750m.
Nashama Wellness Shop
The making of new products for the shop is on a bit of a holiday as I have plenty of Paleo, organic stock.
Nothing new for May due to course work. Candle testing has stopped for a while; I am just making some products my family need – organic shampoos and shower gels. However I have an extensive range of products in the shop, so everyone is still spoiled for choice.
I am crocheting some granny squares and cowls. I have two from organic wool available ($75.00 each) and am working on some pure cotton scarves for those allergic to wool. Cotton is surprisingly warm in winter, not just cool in summer.
As I get a little time, I do play with my Cricut and sublimation gear. Who knows what might get popped into our end of year Goodie Bags!
Healthy Discussion- Winter Health & The Water Element
In Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong, there are Five Elements. These include Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, and Earth. In Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong, Winter is the time of the Water Element.
Physically, the Water Element governs the kidneys, bladder, bones, and endocrine system. Balancing and strengthening the Water Element helps your body to stay healthy and vital.
The Water Element is the ruler of inner peace and plays a key role in your mental and emotional heath, offering peace, tranquillity, and contentment. When your Water Element is out of balance, you may experience fear or insecurity. When the Water Element is strong, you feel a deep sense of peace and tranquillity.
Qi Gong Tips to Strengthen the Water Element
Naturally, movement and particular foods are recommended.
Exercises like Knocking on the Door of Life and The Fountain to nourish the kidneys are fabulous.
Foods which nourish the water element are seafood, tea, vegetable soup, grapes, raspberries and, of course, water.
Over on Patreon, we go more into depth with how to nourish the Water Element for our Members, and even have a my favourite Primal vegetable soup recipe, which can easily be Paleo and vegetarian.
Nashama Equine & Canine
Glen has written off another Ute on another kangaroo. This time it was my Ute. As this is our third strike in 12 months due to the plague proportions of kangaroos, out of respect for our insurance bills, he must adjust his runs to ensure he leaves areas that are problematic in time to make it back in daylight. He has spaces available in the Junee area as he will resume over-nighting.
On a brighter note, a workmate had a good Ute with almost everything we need. Many thanks for the Spaniel’s new wheels! Jake and George are incredibly pleased to be back in the cabin with the humans.
We have good stocks of our equine and Canine products, including our unique Abscess and Thrush Formulation, which remains one of the most cost effective and the only organic preparation on the market, and dog shampoo in the farm shop.
Farm Life
-8 is the worst morning so far on the farm, and the horses are keen for their warm meals.
Jake and George are mainly getting along. George is spending supervised time off lead in the yard and understands if he comes there are pats and cuddles waiting. He is not solid on his recall… yet, but his flying little body hurtling across the grass expecting pats when he gets to the humans is getting pretty good.
The year is absolutely flying, we are now past Yule and more than ready for the Return of the light.
Until next month!
