Magical Things – Starburst Ritual Candles

Over many years I have joked I am probably the Village Witch, or what used to be known as the herb woman before men decided women should have no power and burned a lot of us at the stake.

Despite persecution through the Centuries, the ancient Craft of traditional healers does survive. These days I just say I am a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, but the truth is I was born to a European female tradition of natural healing of not just the body, but the mind and spirit as well, and I have also trained in 2 branches of TCM as well as my birthright of western traditional practises.

Our entire farm shop is a blended reflection of what is natural and healthy, but among them are items designed to help calm and heal the spirit and bring joy from pain and fear, such as my children’s Monster Bane Room Spray and Starburst Ritual Candles.

While, personally, I use a natural candle for meditation, usually a tealight in a coloured glass or our own Ecojar vessel, the scent is what matters to me, I do sometimes make coloured candles for spiritual practice.

Making some more Ecojars yesterday (they tested brilliantly!) reminded me I need to evaluate the Starburst pillar candles I had out the back and the prototype candle-safe tray, and then put them in the shop.

The Starburst Ritual Pillar Candles are designed for the traditionalist practitioner, with colour matching to scents. Made from starburst palm wax, no two candles are the same and, on cooling, produce a starburst crystal pattern. Each candle is a one-off and will not be repeated.

These magical candles go into our new section, Magical Things, which makes it easier to locate the items we stock for spiritual meditation practice.

These candles are a one off where I buy a tester size I like the sound of and pop them into a candle or soap.Mostly I use the amazing Starburst or Feathering crystalising wax, which forms spectacular crystal patterns as it cools.
