Certified Organic Paleo Candles

Certified Organic Paleo Candles

Well today I have had my first genuine day off in 6 months of 12-16 hour days so it was time to pull out the Paleo candle project sitting there, waiting.

First question, of course, is are Paleo candles even a thing, and the second is aren't candles from natural waxes Paleo?

Yes, they are a thing, even with the exacting requirements.

Certified organic wax is the key, though, and only one wax can meet the requirements of being Paleo.

Eco-certified and/or organic coconut and olive wax (we have EcoOlive in our range) come close, but have additives. Soy is not Paleo as it is a highly processed seed oil inclined to be GMO.

Fragrance oils are not Paleo, not even natural ones, although essential oils certified for use in candles are Paleo. Beeswax varies in scent strength, depending on the amount and type of filtration and processing, but is naturally sweet and honey scented.

Only one wax meets all the criteria, being certified organic beeswax.

So for us as long-time users of unscented certified organic beeswax in balms and candles we use ourselves, it is a no-brainer to pair that with our constellation jars and try a few tins as well.

As I have wanted to pretty up my candle tops for a while, particularly the Heart tins, which always make a great gift, I even made some flowers.

The kind of customer these suit? Anyone looking for a 100% natural, organic or spray-free candle wanting to reduce chemical exposure. They are particularly good for those who love their candles but do not want to breathe in agricultural pesticides, which many candles do contain as an active ingredient in their fragrances (our fragrances in our soy and Olive candles do not, we make sure of it).

Looking forward to doing the test burns to see how everything performs!
